Download a transcript in three steps
1. Copy the link to one TikTok video and paste it into the tool above. You are requesting its spoken text, so there is no need to save the video file first. 2. Select Get transcript and review the result when it appears. Check that you have the right video and that important names or figures look correct.
3. Open Download and choose PDF, DOC or TXT. If you are signed out, the export prompt asks you to create a free account before continuing. The browser then handles the file download. You can generate and read two transcripts per day without signup; exporting is the step that needs an account.
Use PDF when the document is ready to read
PDF is a practical choice when you want a readable document rather than text to paste into another application. Save an interview excerpt with your research materials, attach the transcript of your own explainer to a project handover, or keep a reference document for offline reading. Once downloaded, the file is on your device rather than only in the current browser tab.
A PDF preserves a document layout, not the original video experience. It will not reproduce the speaker’s gestures or show a demonstration. Before sharing one, review the wording and provide the source video link separately so a reader can check any context that the words alone leave out.
Choose DOC for editing and TXT for portability
The Word download is a DOC file. Choose it when your next step is to work with the transcript in a compatible word processor: add your own headings, shorten a draft or mark passages for review. The export gives you a document to work on, rather than an editing workspace inside TranscribeTok. Keep a separate original if your edits will substantially change the wording.
TXT is the lightweight alternative. It contains plain text, making it useful for notes applications and tools where formatting is unnecessary. Choose based on the destination: a document for reviewing with someone else, or simple text for moving words into an existing workflow.
Find and organise the file after downloading
Your browser controls where downloads are stored. On a computer, check its downloads list or your chosen downloads folder. On a phone, use the browser’s download controls and your device’s file manager. The exact location varies with the browser and device settings. This page does not choose a cloud folder or send the transcript to another service for you.
Give the file a useful name once it is saved, such as the topic and date you reviewed it. Keep the source URL in your project notes. These small steps help when you return later and need to distinguish a raw transcript from a version you have annotated or rewritten.
A downloaded file and a saved library item are different
Downloading places a file under your control on your device. Saving to the TranscribeTok library keeps a transcript inside your account through the separate Save to library action. A free account is enough to download PDF, DOC and TXT files, but library saving requires a credit pack. Buying a pack is not a prerequisite for taking away a free transcript as a file.
If you only need a quick handoff, an export may be all you need. If you want to return to saved items inside the app, consider the library feature when choosing a pack. Do not assume a generated result has been saved there automatically.
Understand the limits before planning a handoff
Every format contains the transcript text, not an independent verification of the audio. Speech recognition can mishear a name or number, so check sensitive details before sending the file to a client or using it as a quotation. A removed or inaccessible video may not produce a result. Spoken audio is the source; silent visual information may be missing.
